BALL LIGHTNING SORCERER SKILLS & PASSIVES
BASIC ABILITY
The first ability your Ball Lightning Sorc will unlock will be Arc Lash. I temporarily put 5 points into this until I get my Ball Lightning up and running. It melts enemies. Eventually in WT3 and 4 you will likely want more single target damage so you’ll spec into Firebolt enchant when killing high level nightmare dungeon bosses or uber basses.

CORE ABILITY
We don’t use a core ability in this build since Ball Lightning is a Mastery Ability. We will grab fireball as an enchant from level 15 until you decide you need more single target damage in WT3 or 4. Then you’ll take that point out of fireball and put it into Fire Bolt (above)

DEFENSIVE ABILITY
The Sorcerer has some amazing Defensive Abilities. Frost Nova happens to be an especially effective Crowd Controller, instantly making all nearby enemies Frozen and applying the Vulnerable Debuff to them. We will grab that as well as Teleport, and Flame Shield. These abilities are all great because they are free to cast, and will do a lot more for this build than first meets the eye! Direct damage from Skills applies up to an additional 23.4% Burning damage over 8 seconds.
READ FIRST: at first you SHOULD slot Fire Ball here temporarily to make leveling much easier. After you unlock your passives in the weapon mastery section you can switch over to fire bolt! (or wait until you feel like you need more single target damage)

BALL LIGHTNING SORCERER SKILL POINT ORDER
You get one point every time you level. So at level 2 on your first character you will be spending point #1. At level 5 you will be spending point #4.
When you earn your first renown you will have the same number of skill points as levels.
Beyond that you will have to do some quick math to know how many points you’ve earned from renown and how many points you have earned from levels to know which part of this you are on.
